I finally found something that I actually hate about my job.

Today at the student care, during free play time:
Me: Okay kids you can do your own things, but don't make too much noise.
Brandon(a usually noisy and naughty student): Ok, I'm going to read this book-Daddy and I...
Me: (Feeling surprised that he's actually not using the free play time to play his Beyblades and whatsoever.)
Brandon: ...Because I don't have a Daddy.

I really didn't know what to reply after that. I just said "Ok." and he went to a corner to read quietly. The thing was, he actually said it in a tone that he's actually fine with it. Like it's nothing to him. But I guess that had actually made him the noisy and naughty student that he usually was. Because he wanted attention. And even if we've given him all the attention we could, it's definitely not the attention that he longed for. This is what I hate about my job.

I've been relating too much about kids here recently. But seriously, a lot of teachers had asked if I really want to be a teacher, because the kids now are really different, in the sense that more challenging. But it is mostly because of the broken families that they come from. They are too young and innocent to handle death or divorce of their parents. Otherwise, it will be parents who work too much and neglect their kids, or parents who don't even give a damn about their kids while engaging with all the vices.

The kids are innocent and we need to save them!
