Just received the letter from MOE stating that i'd have to do contract teaching for 1 - 1.5 years before going into the NIE course to study ):
Am in a dilemma now (even though I know what I'll eventually choose in the end).

1) If I want to be a teacher in the end, I'll have to go through this 1 year of contract teaching, before I can start my 2-years diploma course. Which means, I'll be wasting another one year not studying AGAIN. I really want to start studying before I grow too old and lazy.

2) If I go to SIM to do my private degree, I don't think I'll be enjoying it much since Econs there will be tough. Ok I mean, which course wouldn't be tough right? But still, I'd rather it be tough BUT something I like, rather than tough and something I don't enjoy. Furthermore, after I graduate from SIM, I may not be able to apply for the PGDE in NIE because MOE normally only recognizes the local U's.
